This lesson explains what Ergonomics is and why correct posture is important. The Ergonomics lesson includes instructions for customizing a workstation to fit an individual’s needs, and relaxation and stretching exercises to help relieve work-related stress. | Lesson explains the meaning of the digits in the MICR line, and why repair is important. Simulation of your operations department particular hardware provides extensive drills in repair problems and familiarizes the trainee with real-life situations.

Follows the processing of a bank deposit through the various operations departments and into the collection system. Various types of checks (on-us, clearing, and transit) are presented and discussed. New collection procedures using the “Check 21” guidelines are introduced. The importance of a check’s MICR line and the operator’s role in banking is stressed. Common-sense work rules are included. | Trainees key the courtesy amounts of check images displayed on the computer screen. Images are presented in an environment similar to the processing software used in your operations center. Speed and accuracy are tracked and reported on screen or in printable versions. Either trainees or supervisors may set keying speeds and goals. Short (100 item) and long (300 item) drills may be chosen. | |||
